Spring Kick-Off
Celebrate Garden Week and the Grand Opening of our Urban Agriculture Centre (UAC)Connecting community, May 17, 11 am- 3 pm
at the BADAS Fairgrounds
This year we are partnering with local organizations and businesses to kick off garden week and our newest facility, the Urban Agriculture Centre (UAC). Learn about the new Seed Library managed by the Beaumont Library and the City of Beaumont Summer Programs, Greenhaven Gardens and more. Pick up some seedlings to plant, worm castings and bio char to amend your soil and feed your plants all summer. Enjoy some fresh air and lunch at our BBQ fundraiser with the Knights of Columbus and enjoy an art activity or plant a herb or flower pot to bring home.
We will be planting a tree in honour of our long-time gardener and member, Rose, who passed away last year.
