Adapting to a changing world

The future of BADAS is bright in 2025 and into the future. We are adapting and evolving to meet the needs of people in our community and of agriculture. Planning is underway for new programs, services, and opportunities for this community led organization to improve our shared quality of life by fostering a biodiverse ecosystem and advancing urban agriculture for future generations. We are actively inviting members and new partners to grow this organization to connect our community to food, the land and new nature-based programs that contribute to a healthy active life.

New and Future Programs and Services

Urban Agriculture Centre (UAC)

Development began in 2021 and continues to evolve in 2025.  The UAC is a 2 acre facility to support community gardening, youth programs, workshops, and event rental space grounded in nature.

Camping Facilities

We often provide unserviced camping for local events like the Beaumont Music Festival and Baseball tournaments. Planning has started in 2025 on upgrading to serviced sites.

Nature Trail

In 2025, we are committed to increasing habitat that supports native plants, insects, bird, and bats, many of which are endangered.  This interpretive walking trail aims to help raise awareness and knowledge about our ecosystem and re-wild habitat.
